The Office of Global Services (OGS) is a resource for international students and scholars on the Northeastern campuses, providing support and expertise on questions related to immigration compliance as well as academic and cultural adjustment concerns.

What we do

The Office of Global Services is excited to welcome you to Seattle! As a Seattle based student, you will not only have access to the OGS Global Support Resources, but also to our Seattle based team dedicated to your success.

If you have questions about maintaining status or applying for benefits (OPT, CPT), we encourage you to review the OGS website . If you have additional questions, you connect with us on our student portal or make an appointment with us.

In addition to processing of I-20 requests and compliance concerns, OGS Seattle coordinates with different teams on the Seattle campus to provide informational sessions on F-1 benefits and navigating U.S. academic and work culture.

Based in Seattle, Desiree oversees the international student advising teams at Northeastern University’s U.S. global campuses.

Deborah Herlocker-Freeman

Senior International Student and Scholar Advisor, Office of Global Services

Deborah is the primary international student and scholar advisor for all students on the Seattle campus.
