Join the Seattle community in celebration of the achievements of the graduating class. This year’s celebration recognizes the accomplishments of students completing their degree August 2023, December 2023, May 2024, or August 2024.

Guest Tickets
To access your guest tickets, follow these instructions:
– Log in to http://northeastern.marchingorder.com/ using your Northeastern email address.
– Click “Print/Email Tickets”. You have the option to either print each ticket or email your tickets to your guests.
Reminder: All guests need a ticket to attend the Commencement Ceremony and enter Benaroya Hall. No exceptions will be made!
When and where will Northeastern in Seattle Commencement ceremony be held?
Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Benaroya Hall.
What is the dress code for the ceremony?
We recommend business casual attire for graduates and guests. Regalia is required for all graduates who are attending.
Are animals allowed in the venue?
Service dogs are welcome. We recommend aisle seating for patrons with service animals to allow sufficient room for them to sit or lay down. Please contact the Ticket Office at 206.215.4747 or tickets@seattlesymphony.org with any questions or concerns.
Is Benaroya Hall accessible?
Benaroya Hall is barrier-free and meets or exceeds all criteria established by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Requests for accommodations should be made when requesting tickets.

What amenities will you offer during the ceremony?
We will have designated lounges for guests who need a quiet place to watch the ceremony.
Where can I find information about Health and Safety at Benaroya?
As of July 18, 2022, Benaroya strongly recommends that everyone continue to wear a mask at all times inside the hall. Celebration Day
May 1st!
Please RSVP to confirm your attendance for the event on May 1st, from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
Here’s what we have planned for you:
- Photos and Regalia Pick Up: Capture this memorable moment with professional photos and pick up your regalia from 1:00 PM to 3:15 PM.
- Flatstick Pub Takeover: Continue the celebration with drinks and food at Flatstick Pub from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
- Decorate Your Graduation Cap: Get creative and decorate your graduation cap at any time during the day.
- Regalia Pick Up: If you can’t make it on Grad Day, don’t worry! Regalia pick-up is available all week.

- Apply to Graduate on Student Hub (view deadlines and instructions here)
- REGISTER FOR YOUR CEREMONY
- The Seattle campus will email you with a registration link to claim tickets in early March. This is different from applying in your Student Hub.
- GET YOUR CAP & GOWN
- Pick up your cap and gown at your campus
- ATTEND YOUR COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY
- The Seattle Campus date will is on May 7th at 4pm.
- RECEIVE YOUR DIPLOMA
- Receive your diploma in the mail 4-6 weeks after your conferral date (learn more).

How to Prep for a Graduation Ceremony Information?
Where can I find general information about Cap and Gowns?
Commencement regalia will be ordered for you based on the information you submit when you register for graduation. You will pick up your regalia on campus in the days preceding the Commencement ceremony. For general information on regalia check out the Northeastern Commencement webpage (here)

How can I invite family members who live internationally?
We recommend reaching out to the local U.S. consulate within the country that your family members are in to apply for a visitor visa. Click here to view visa appointment wait times.
Unfortunately, the University does not provide letters to graduates as a means for their guests to apply for a visa from their country to attend a graduation ceremony. The Office of Global Services recommends using copies of the following documents instead:
- Graduation Application
- E-mail(s) directed to the graduate with ceremony information
- Enrollment Verification Letter
- Letter of Invitation Information (Sample)
Can I decorate my graduation cap?
Yes! We will set up an optional craft station for graduates closer to graduation.
How do I get a flag?
You may choose to carry (and wave!) up to 5 country flags that represent you!

Are their any College specific celebration happening for graduation?
Each college will have the opportunity to celebrate with festivities across Northeastern’s Seattle campus.
A full schedule of events will be provided at a later date.
How do I get a Donor Medal or cord?
- Any graduating student who donates $20.24 total before commencement will receive a donor medal.
- Donate any amount and receive a donor cord.
