Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to wear my badge when I am on campus?
Yes, students are required to always wear their 225 Access Badge and Husky ID while on campus, as outlined in the Student Handbook Agreement. This allows us to keep the campus safe and monitor campus traffic.
225 Access Badges provide access to the 225 Building and Husky IDs provide access to the 401 Building. Badges should be kept in seperate sleeves, as they will not work if combined.
Students can wear their Badges and Husky IDs by lanyard around the neck or by retractable clips which can be provided by the front desk.
Can I park my car on campus?
No, there is no parking provided for students by the university. However, there are many parking options available around the campus.
Amazon Garages, located throughout the South Lake Union area, offer free parking after 4pm Monday-Friday. It is important to remember, if you park in an Amazon Garage earlier than 4pm, you will have to leave and re-enter the garage for the free parking to apply.
Can I store my bike on campus?
Yes, All NU staff, faculty and students are eligible to apply for bike locker access at 225. To apply for bike locker access, please request a Bike Access Form for the 225 Front Desk.
Where can I store my bag while I am in class?
Day-use lockers are available on the 2nd floor of the 225 Building between 8am – 9:30pm. Items must be removed by 9:30pm. Items left overnight will be sent to the Lost and Found at the 225 Front Desk.
If students do not remember their passcode for the locker, security or the front desk can help to access the locker.
Please note, no food or hazardous items can be stored in lockers
I lost an item on campus, do you have a Lost and Found?
Yes, the Lost and Found is located at the 225 Building Front Desk. Please ask the person at the Front Desk regarding any lost or found items. They will require a specific description of the item you are looking for. All found items will be donated after being stored for more than a month.
Where can I find printers?
Student Printers are located on the 1st (behind the kitchen area) and 3rd (in the Student Activity Space) floors of 225, and on both sides of the 401, and on the grond floor of the 310. Instructions for use of the printers can be found on the printers themselves. If you have any questions or issues, please contact regionalhelp@northeastern.edu.
Can I check out Phone and Laptop Chargers?
Yes! Phone and Laptop charges are available to check out on the 3rd Floor ITS Service Center in the 225 Building. Charges must be returned to the IT Service Center by the end of the day. If the IT Service Center is closed, items can be left at the 225 Front Desk, with a note state the student’s name, NU email address, and the time the item was returned.
I need a quiet space to focus for a bit - where can I do that?
We have 2 Wellness Rooms in the 225 Building, one on the 2nd Floor and another on the 4th Floor. These rooms are intended for personal wellness activities, such as resting, meditatation, or nursing, not for eating or napping. You can book these rooms through spaces.northeastern.edu, or at the Front Desks. Either way, you will need to pick up a key from the Front Desk to access the room. Please remember to return the key when you are finished.

Earthquake Preparedness
Remember: Drop, Cover, and Hold On!
The Puget Sound Region of Washington State is vulnerable to earthquake activity. It is important to prepare and know what to do during an actual earthquake.
If possible, drop to the ground, cover yourself with a sturdy surface such as a desk, and hold on until the shaking stops.
Even after the shaking stops, remain in place until the all clear is given. Aftershocks are possible and the building will need to be inspected to ensure it is sound.
